About us

Our history

The Dutch company EXO-L BV was founded in 2012, following the invention of the EXO-L Ankle Brace. In 2023, EXO-L International was established to explore and develop international markets.

Bringing our advanced 3D scanned and 3D printed ankle brace to the market required solving a number of technological challenges, including the need for very accurate 3D scanning and converting the 3D scan data into a 3D print model.

Slow start

Due to these challenges, it took until 2019 to reach a significant volume in sales. Now that the cost of 3D scanners has dropped by 90%, we are ready for a worldwide roll-out.
